It’s my wife’s birthday today: happy birthday Kara! She’s a Sagitarius like many of her sisters who also have birthdays this month. The first thing I did this morning was get up and search for a suitable e-card to send her. When I came across the one below I knew she’d appreciate it. A lot of the e-card services blow, don’t they? McAfee red lights and whistles were working overtime as I visited site after noisy site.

Settled on EveryDayBirthday.com, but am convinced there has to be better out there. Have a really good — and spam/noise free — e-card site to recommend? Or is it spelled ecard? Or Ecard? I’m all mixed up.

Although none of us get to choose what our birthday is, I’m pretty happy with September being my birthday. It’s right as school gets back in session. My second choice would be our middle teen’s birthday in July, then April for our youngest and March for our oldest.

Some other cool birthdays would be Halloween and 4th of July (the date this blog was started in 2003). With websites we can choose birthdays, can’t we?

My wife doesn’t seem to mind December that much, but it’s kind of close to Christmas. I love her just the way she is of course, birthday month in December and all, but I’m curious if they celebrated her birthday at Christmas time some years or if there were always separate celebrations? I’ll have to ask her that later during her birthday dinner at one of her favorite restaurants (Olive Garden). I’m pretty certain she’s told me the answer before but I’m getting more cobwebs on the brain as the years pass.

Be honest now, if you were able to change what month you were born in, would you change the month to something else? Or are you happy with the month and day as is?
