You’ve probably heard about certain websites that offer an online substitute for going to church… now believers can be forgiven for not dropping change in the collection basket during Mass. Maybe you’ve heard of ATMs placed inside churches, but this new idea takes even less effort. A growing number of churches nationwide are offering an online donation option; they’re embracing technology and the Internet to make weekly giving easier. That's right, there really is no excuse for leaving your chair now! Churches say high-tech donations are a response to changes in society, with fewer people carrying cash and using credit and ATM cards and the Internet to make transactions.
