This is something which would get the nod of everybody - even those who are dead against RFID. People suffering from dementia can be difficult to control and this is what UK Alzheimer's Society is looking to avoid by seeking the solace of technology. They want that dementia patients must be tagged so that in case they lose out on their way it would become easier to trace them.

With more than 7,00,000 dementia patients in UK it has become imperative to use some technology so that nor only it gifts freedom to the patients but even offers peace of mind to their families. It would work in a pretty simple manner - in case the tagged person moves out of his or her defined boundaries an alarm would be sounded and GPS would be deployed to track the whereabouts of the person. In this manner it would become possible to take care of the patients in a better manner.
Its good that technology could serve the mankind in a better manner but whether it can replace professional care is a question which needs to be answered first.
