The eight-story property, originally built in 1911, was gut renovated in 1997. Soon after this building became a part of our NYU student housing portfolio. It was naturally a perfect fit as the West Village is known for its intimate scale, which lends itself to a “small town” feel in this city district. The heart of the West Village is Washington Square. This nine and one-half acre park is the former stomping ground for such writers as Walt Whitman and Mark Twain. The neighborhood is primarily residential, with a multitude of great restaurants, shops, and services. The building houses over 300 students in just under 80 units.
